USA’s Allan Armstrong was hit by a truck while out on his motorcycle, resulting in the amputation of his leg in 2013. He was introduced to paratriathlon through the Given Limb Foundation, which offered a paratriathlon introduction camp for injured army service members and veterans in 2015. Two years later, Allan became national champion in the PTS2 category and won gold in the Magog World Cup, and finished in 4th place at the Lausanne 2019 Grand Final.
