World Triathlon

Slovenia has only one island but its uniqueness makes it more attractive than many an archipelago. Sheltered by picturesque mountains, the island reigns in the middle of an Alpine lake. Its charm has made it a symbol for centuries of a town to which guests from all over the world love to return.
Bled is situated in the northwest of Slovenia in the Alpine region Gorenjska, near Austrian and Italian border.
The expected air temperature on the day of the event is between 18 - 26°C and lake temperature 20°C.

Event will take place in the Rowing center Mala Zaka, which has been the competition venue for the past 12 years. ETU Prestige race and ETU Junior cup had been organized between 2004 to 2015 on this very location. The venue is in walking distance from Bled city centre.
Swimming part will be held at the rowing center, cycling part around the centre and running part on the coastal part to the city centre of Bled and back.
Transition area, start and finish are located on Mala Zaka.
Every year Triathlon Bled takes place on the first Saturday in September in the same venue and city government works hand in hand with the organizers.
Head of organizers is Miro Kregar, vice president of Slovenian Triathlon Federation.

Swimming: Deep water start. Straight line swim course – 400 m, water temperature is expected app. 20 – 22 degree. C, wet suits depend on weather conditions

Cycling: 6,5 km x 2 laps = 13 km. 500 m steep hill in every lap, technical pretending, sharp corners, on some parts of course have to ride bike on left side of the road

Running: 3,33 km x 1 lap. Few gently hills in every lap, asphalt road beside the lake
