The Triathlon competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games will be held on Saturday 4 August and Tuesday 7 August 2012 at Hyde Park in central London.
The competition will consist of two (2) medal events; Men Individual (1), Women Individual (1).
A total of 110 athletes, 55 men and 55 women, may take part in the Triathlon competition.

Competition format:
The men’s and women’s Triathlon events will be conducted to standard distances:
–– Swim: 1,500m – one (1) lap
–– Bike: 43km – seven (7) laps of a 6.137km course
–– Run: 10km – four (4) laps of a 2.5km course
Each event is continuous, with no breaks in competition. In both the men’s and women’s events, the first athlete to complete the course will be declared the winner.

The Dates:
Women’s event - Saturday 4th August at 9.00am
Men’s event - Tuesday 7th August at 11.30am
