National Federations will register their athletes, coaches and medical Staff using the world Triathlon online System.
The inscription includes:
• Participation in the event.

ACCREDITATION
Athletes, coaches and team medical will pick up their accreditation in person following the race briefing on Friday 8th on the venue. Only accredited people will be allowed to access certain venues areas. All accredited persons are requested to carry their accreditation card with them at all the times and to show them upon request.
All accreditations requests for sport delegations must be submitted through their National Federations.
VISAS
Most competitors will require either a visitor Visa or an electronic Travel Authorization. The entry document that you will need depend on:
The type of travel document you plan to travel with;
The country that issued your travel document;
Your nationality;
Your method of travel to Colombia for this trip.
If you require a written letter to assist with your Visa application, please contact your National Federation.

The Venue and Transition area are located in front of INVERMAR in Salguero Beach, on Ave 26. Athlete’s Services, and Athlete’s Lounge will be at the same place on the same avenue. This area will be open starting FRIDAY morning. Athletes will go to see the bike course and run course.
ATHLETES LOUNGE AND ATHLETE`S SERVICES
Facilities including athletes’ lounge and toilets are provided to the athletes at the finish area. Sealed bottles of water, fruit and snacks will be offered to the athletes before and after the race in the Athletes’ Lounge. The Athlete’s Lounge is located inside the INVERMAR grounds, directly in front of the Finish Line.
DOPING CONTROL
Doping Control will be performed according to the World Triathlon /WADA rules. Doping Control will be under the supervision of Dr. Iveth Aguiar. Tests will be performed at the INVERMAR, near from transition-finish area. All the athletes must bring photographic ID with them in case of being tested.
MEDICAL SERVICE
First Aid and Emergency Medical Services will be available at the venue on Sept. 9th and 10st before and during the competition hours.
Medical and paramedical personnel from Cruz Roja (Red Cross) will be available throughout the competition. Four ambulances will be available to provide emergency transfer to the hospital. A medical tent will be provided on site at the post finish area. The expenses for a medical treatment at the local hospital will be cover for the athlete ‘insurance. All athlete competing in an event must have personal insurance coverage guaranteed by their National Federation. Any injury and treatment at the venue or transfer to the hospital will be cover for the LOC.
The LOC will have bike mechanics starting Thursday morning at the host hotel. General bike services are free of charge for ELITE athletes, and packing or unpacking of bikes are available for a fee. Bike Services at the venue on Friday are subject to a fee.

TRAINING FACILITIES
Only During Familiarization. If you are guest at some of Host hotel you will be allowed to use the pool at no charge however it is advisable to check at reception before you enter the pool if you wish to train. It is advisable to avoid peak periods to avoid congestion in the pool from other guests. It is forbidden to swim outside the test-swimming zone at any time due to safety restrictions. Always train with al least one other person. While swimming, please wear a bright color swim cap and ensure that your family/member and/or friends know where you are. When training, please bike and run on your shoulder without moving into the traffic lane. Ride in a single file, bike side by side is illegal. Be courteous while riding your bike.
Please note: the official race course is otherwise not open for training before the races. The race course in general are NOT suitable for training.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE FOP
START
The Start area is at Salguero beach off the beach access closest to INVEMAR.
SWIM COURSE
The course consists of 1 lap of 750 meters in a rectangular shape, in anti-clockwise direction. The course will be marked with Orange and Red Buoys. Athletes will pass Orange buoys on their LEFT side, and Red buoys on their RIGHT. The water temperature during the first weeks is expected to be between 20 – 25 C.
BIKE COURSE
Generally flat. There are 4 laps of 5 km each. Anti-clockwise direction.
WHEEL STATION
One-wheel stations will be provided for team wheels located at middle of the Bike/Run course. Team wheels will be collected at the Athlete’s lounge appropriately marked during the check in.
PENALTY BOX
The Bike/Run penalty box will be located 200 meters from the exit of transition area (you pass this 4 times on the bike and 2 times on Run)
RUN COURSE
Completely flat, with 2 LAPS.
AID STATIONS
There are 2 aid stations, all will be double aid stations. Sealed water will be provided at each station.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
The weather conditions expected in early September range usually around 18 to 30 degrees Celsius, with water temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees.
PROTESTS AND APPEALS
Standard procedures will be followed according to the World Triathlon competition rules.

Results will be uploaded live to the World Triathlon’s official website: http://www.triathlon.org. All the results information will be distributed to the Team Leaders at the LOC Information Office
