World Triathlon

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 20, 2005) – USA Triathlon has announced that its annual membership exceeded a record 60,000 during the month of May 2005.

USAT’s annual membership at the beginning of 2005 was 53,254.

Included in the 60,000 members are 1,500 silver members and 200 gold members. In 2004, USA Triathlon had approximately 900 silver and 140 gold members at the end of May.

“The USA Triathlon staff and Board of Directors are proud to have reached this milestone,” said USA Triathlon Executive Director Skip Gilbert. “We are all working to increase the value of a USA Triathlon membership and to increase our relevance to our members.”
