The venue is located at Ahuriri Beach which is just on the edge of the city centre of Napier (Hardinge Road).
Napier is a small city located on the sunny coast of Hawkes Bay New Zealand. With a population of around 67,500, this is a thriving location with residents eager to see a World Cup race take place on their beautiful shores.
This is a subtropical location (by New Zealand standards) with water temperatures expected to be around 22° C at the time of the event. The climate is also expected to be around 22° C, the weather in Napier is typically very sunny and calm at this time of year as the region moves towards the end of a dry Summer.

The closest international airport is Auckland or Wellington International Airports. it is then a short domestic flight to the Napier Airport from Auckland (1 hour 10 minute flight) or Wellington (1hour flight).
